{date #1}

The Background story--
We met online(this isn't a new thing for me, online dating) we actually talked briefly awhile back, he asked me to meet up for drinks a few times, but I think I was more interested in someone else at the time..so I said no and then we never talked again after I turned him down a few times..So then I saw his profile again on the site last week and thought hey maybe he's still interested. I was right, because right away he said lets meet up finally for a quick bite.

The Guy--
Age: 27
Job: Engineer
What he wore-- Nice coat, sweater with a button down under it. Nice jeans and shoes. Over all good!

The Date--
The date night outfit
So he asked me via message on the dating site if Monday night would work for a quick dinner, I being my new dating self said SURE! And then this is where it all starts to go down hill....because he said what about CHIPOTLE for dinner! Chipotle for a first DATE?!?!?! WHAT!?!?! So dear blog its a good thing I have you because seriously I think I would have made up a excuse to not go on this date if I didn't know that this would at least be a good story to tell. Because seriously Chipotle?? Oh what has gone wrong with guys!! But I agreed and one of the rules is not changing the place, so I kicked my feet and complained a lot about it today and went with it. And I have to say I wasn't excited about this date AT ALL. And did not seeing anything coming out of this. And then he was 5 min late, which just kinda annoys me. Side story this is the WORST part of online dating is that first min of meeting so waiting to meet them any sec is no good, so then 5 min seems like FOREVER. But back to the date, he came 5ish min late, and then it all kinda just went great. He was cute, its always a little weird to meet someone who you have only seen pictures of, but it was good. And he was dressed nice and had a good smile. We had a good time talking while we were in line, he made a comment about someones clothing choice who was also in line, and if you know me at all you know I love people watching and talking about what the hell people wear out of the house, so that made me laugh. I also remember when I would look at him while we were in line talking, he was smiling at me a lot. Which is just cute? right? Then there was the part I was a little worried about, if he was going to pay, because he did pick chipotle for dinner, but he was good and paid. So points for him! And then we really had a lot to talk about, so much so that I hardly ate much because we were talking. That's the fun part about first dates, the learning and talking to someone new. And then I was kinda worried because he was all done and I didn't want the date to be over..... Luckily he suggested we go grab drinks down the street. So even though it was VERY cold, we walked and talked. He bought me a beer, and was surprised at my drink of choice being Bud light, what can I say. :) We joked around a lot with each other, me being my sarcastic self and he totally understanding I was giving him a hard time. We picked out music to listen to, and his music choices were good. But really over all, surprisingly it was a really good date. We talked about family, about people getting married really quick, and he thinks if your REALLY in love marriage can happen FAST. I disagree. I need time. He asked a lot about my photography, and really seemed to want to get to know me. He surprised me, and to be honest I am still trying to figure him out. He was touchy, in a good way, that made me feel he was at least interested and having fun. I was smiling at the end of the night so that's a very good sign. We had a couple of beers, and around 9:30 we called it a night, walked back to my car(holding hands) and we said good bye. (oh and he kissed me goodnight *insert smile*)

Five things I learned about him--
1. He's a only child.
2. He DOESN'T like Asia food. waa waa waa.
3. He likes golf.
4. He doesn't like to be alone.
5. He doesn't text very often at all(hes not a very tech savvy guy)

Memorable Conversation--
He asked me if I would ever consider taking nude photos of someone. Which I just find odd to ask on a first date. Granted we were talking about my photography, but that question could have been skipped.

The Verdict--

If he asked(one of the rules is I can't ask) me out on a second date I would
for sure go out with him again. But I am not going to worry or think more about it, because it was fun, and this is what the project is all about, me having fun and enjoying my time. But I have to say this date made me realize I need to say yes more often and not worry if it sounds "perfect" or not. Because what I thought was going to be a bad date really turned into a good night. Lesson #1 learned.

I got this note pad a couple of weeks ago at the book store.
Thought it was totally appropriate for this project>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

If you have questions or more you would like to know for each date PLEASE ask :)
