Second date with guy #5
So I went on a second date with guy #5, and I feel like second dates are WAYY more important then the first, because we have now met and are more relaxed and true colors come out more. And second date was as great as first date. Off the bat he is VERY much a gentleman, like ALWAYS opening the car door for me, I do admit it makes me feel weird, but happy at the same time, because sure a guy here and there has opened the door but not EVERY time. So BIG points. It was pretty chill, we had drinks again at a couple places. So we did a lot of talking and laughing. And it was just a happy time. To be honest this is the part of dating I hate, BUT guy #5 seems to be very honest and not afraid to let me know how he's feeling, but not in a over gushing your kinda cheesy way. He just makes it known that he had a very nice time and hopes we can do it again soon. So third date soon?!?! Yes please :)

{Date #5}
The Background story-- we met online(if you haven't figured out this is a common theme ;) We started talking about a week and half ago briefly and then started texting about a week ago kinda small talk each day...and then a few days ago he said something cute about we should talk on the phone first, if your able later I will give you a call and then if your cool with it maybe we can meet up sometime :) (but FYI it was a few days before he actually made the call....) From the very start talking to him I had a bit of a crush. He was funny and we were both sarcastic about things. His messages always made me laugh, so I was giddy and excited to go on this date! Oh and I should mention hes a southern boy :)
The Guy--
Age:29
Job: Hes in law school (after having a career in banking he decided that's not what he wanted and went back to school, and now hes in his last year and half of law school!)
What he wore: Nice grey sweater with V neck tee under it. Good dark jeans and nice brown shoes.
The Date--
So we decided to meet up for drinks at a place near me. And it was cute because he texted me before saying he was on his way and that he should be right on time, but if he was gonna be a few mins late he would let me know, and then texted again when he was a few mins away. Major points! So we sat and ordered drinks, my go to bud light and he ordered a rum and coke. We started talking about my job a lot. Guys always seem very fascinated with my job, they always seem to have a lot of questions about it, which I don't mind, because my job is different then most, and my job is a big part of my life so I am game for it. We talked a lot about family, hes a pretty big family guy. We talked about church, because we had talked about this some before the date, but he use to go to crossroads, and has now gone to the vineyard I grew up going to a few times. So that was a good sign. He seemed very observant, and asked good questions. We talked about my pictures some, and I saw showing him some family pictures and then he made a cute comment, hes was like I don't want this to sound bad, but I think your a lot cuter in person then some of your pics. Ummm that's a HUGE compliment, because one I feel myself like I take a really good photo, so to know he thinks I am even cuter then the photo is good :) And now I realize we sat and talked for 3.5 hours. And it felt like it went by super fast! I really think its awesome that he realized in his young age that what he thought he wanted to do was not what he was happy doing and made a bold step to go back to school to do what he his passionate about. There is something very appealing about someone with passion. I also learned he has travel a lot, pre going back to school.
Five things I learned about him--
1. He was engaged once before.
2. He was a only child and very spoiled.
3. We grew up with the same type of displine and feel the same to do when we have kids. (he wants kids someday!)
4. We have very similar religious views.
5. He grew up in TN and has a bit of a southern accent, that is super cute!
Memorable Conversation--
He pointed out that I have a small dimple on my right cheek, but you can only see it if I smile big. (I told you he was very observant :)
The Verdict--
I could say I hope we go out again soon, and I hope he feels the same way...BUT I already know he wants to go out again, because that boy texted me last night after the date to say he had a great time and that he hopes we can see each other again :))))) One happy girl! And MAJOR points for not waiting to text me. He is a bit of a southern gentlemen :) Ekkk I am really excited to see where this goes.
After having 3 first dates in 3 days I am ready for a break of first dates, granted they were ALL fun, and I enjoyed my time with each, but I really would like to go out with #5 again, and #4 already wants to go out again, but I am not so sure about him. He is a little forward and I am not sure...advice??

{Date #4}
The Background story-- we met online. And we didn't really talk that much at all. We were texting a bit yesterday, and he asked if I wanted to hang out, something low key chill, so I said why not drinks. So I have to say before I started just dating for really the fun and enjoyment of it, I would have NEVER gone on a date with this guy. Hes a bit more of a bad boy then I would go for. But he seemed nice, but he has a lot of tattoos but still knows how to dress, from what I would tell from pictures. He's also originally from Miami, FL, and he also works A LOT so I knew he was maybe kinda just looking for people to hang out with. And my night was free so I went with it...
The Guy--
Age: 32
Job: Something to do with stocks...
What he wore: I have to say hes been the best dressed guy yet. He for sure knew style. He was wearing sweater with button up under, it was kinda funky, but for sure a good look, nice jeans! And he had a good grey coat on over. And then he was wearing cute black glasses (I have a MAJOR thing with boys in cute black glasses).
Height: I normally haven't talked about this because all the other guys were pretty tall, and I do like that. But he was pretty short..... :/
The Date-- So like I said we met at a local bar for drinks, well I drank he did not, this is kinda maybe the weird part...he doesn't drink because he went through AA, but that was awhile ago he said and everyone he hangs out with drinks and he goes out a lot with people drinking so he didn't mind meeting up for "drinks". So like I said this is something I never would have done last year...but who am I to judge? And he could of lied about why he wasn't drinking, but I give him props for being who he is.We ended up meeting at one bar and walking to another one that was less crowded. I think I was going into this "date" it not being a date, because he wasn't really my type. But we got into conversation right away. And maybe it was the fact I hadn't eaten much all day and so when I had 2 beers I was having fun fast, but no it really was fun. We had a lot to talk about and he seemed genuinely interested in knowing about me. It was a short date, but I felt feeling happy and that I stepped outside my "norm" to just ENJOY life. But he was kind of one of those guys I could explain myself to and he got me. Like we were talking about dating and I kinda spilled the beans about this blog, and he thought it was a fun idea. I didn't explain it all, he knows that I date and blog about it....We talked about God a bit, and church. He doesn't go, but believes in God. Most of what we talked about we just seemed to click and understand. Hes for sure not "my type" hes probably a bit more wild and free spirited. But then at the same time he has that good job hes committed to and thrives for. BUT it was fun. And this is what this is all about!!
Five things I learned about him--
1. He likes to shop! :)
2. Doesn't drink, but likes to go out.
3. Likes all kinds of food! (its also good to go on dates with guys that like different foods!)
4. He owns a boat.
5. He has over 2000 songs on his iPhone. lol
The verdict-- I will admit there was some type of connection there, I don't know if it will be something where we are just good friends, but I can see hanging out with him again. And I already know he wants to hang out with me again, because he texted me last night saying he had fun and asked when we could hang out again! (but I already kinda have another date planned for today, ekk so he will have to wait...)
P.S. Its hard work keeping up with sooooo many guys! And the rate I am going I am gonna have 26 dates done by may!!

{date #3}
The Background story-- We met online....we have been messaging back in forth since right after Christmas. So I wasn't sure if he was gonna ever ask me out on a date. And we really didn't talk that much so I didn't know a whole lot about him, which I think I kinda like. It's nice to go on a first date and really learn all about them then. But he finally sent a message saying he was really busy but if we could grab coffee sometime this week. So we sent it up for Saturday afternoon. Its funny because I use to always do first date coffee dates, but its been while since I have had one...
The Guy--
Age: 29
Job: Sales and his own company remolding houses
What he wore: When he walked in he was wearing a nice coat and scarf. And then after taking that off he was wearing a nice sweater and okay jeans, and then he was wearing like nee hiking boots, which didn't go with the rest, and really it didn't even bother me, which was weird. But then funny story towards more the end of the date he was like, so my boots, hes like I normally don't wear these out, hes like I normally am wearing real shoes, but I just got these and with my hiking trip coming up I need to break them in. Hes like I swear I have normal shoes. It made me laugh!
The Date: So I again wasn't all that excited about this date! I was really tired right before going because my lil bro had spent the night with me the night before and all morning with me, so I was busy busy. And then there was the outfit mess, most of the clothes I love were in the dryer, and its cold outside, and its just a coffee date so I didn't even feel cute with what I was wearing. But I went with it. He also gets points because he picked a local coffee place, and I LOVE Starbucks but its really not good for a first date because they are normally really busy. So this local place was great, and there was no one there. So we ordered coffee, just plain, and its funny because he said hes not much of a coffee drinker, and he puts milk and sugar in his coffee, where I am just a milk and coffee girl. But then we sat dawn and just got right into talking, and talked non stop for the next 2 hours. It was just one of those really nice times where we both had so much to talk about with each other, and he respond back to what I was talking about and I was able to relate somewhat to his stuff and understand what he was talking about. It went by really last. We talked a lot about family and work. He also has become a big traveler, and so he told me about trips and trips coming up. We both come from big families where growing up we didn't have a lot. I know that some day he wants to settle down and have a family. He also use to go to crossroads. So that's always a fun connection.. we just really talked talked talked, and laughed and had fun. But like I said it went by so quick that the lady working there had to tell us it was almost closing time, we had been there for 2 hours. So we walked out and hugged good bye. And went out ways... so far I haven't heard from him, but he did say life was really busy and he wasn't much of a texter....
Five things I learned about him--
1. His hobby has been remolding houses to flip. (ummm total dream to have a guy like that)
2. He likes to travel and making 2012 a year of traveling.
3. He has a big family.
4. He would rather have a happy great life then be rich.
5. He likes playing sports but not watching (score!)
Memorable Conversation--
The story about his boots....go read it!
The Verdict--
I hope there will be a second date. I had a lot of fun just sitting drinking coffee with him so I know that anything else would be fun. I really don't know what he is looking for right now, so we will see what happens. But yes I would for sure go on a another date with him... Oh and if you haven't already like me on Facebook and I will keep you update with all that goes on. Like if he calls or text for a 2nd date!

Update on guy #1
| I looked super cute on the date! |
{date #2}
The Background story-- This was another online dating guy. We briefly talked and texted for a few days, and he seemed pretty interesting. To be honest I didn't think he was the cutest but I am going for new experiences and sometimes pictures aren't always the best....He is moving to cincinnati in a few weeks and was just in town this week to look at places to live. So he at first suggested we grab drinks last night, and then when we were talking earlier in the day he asked what I was doing, and he suggested maybe going to the park, and I didn't really think about it at first all that much and said yes, but then realized after partying pretty hard the night before going to the park was not a good idea. So we deiced to get dinner later.
The Guy--
Age: 27
Job: Engineer (if you didn't notice there is a pattern from the last guy...)
What he wore--This is where the pattern ends. He was wearing a coat, that was pretty geeky, and not so good jeans, okay shoes if the outfit was different, the only nice part was he had on a nice black button down under the ugly coat. ( I know it might be mean, but if you can't meet a certain level of dressing at the age of 27, then I know we wont work, I don't need jcrew model styling, but it needs to be a lil better then that)
The Date-- So I wasn't excited about this date, at first on Saturday when he suggested getting drinks he seemed pretty cool, and I was kinda excited, but it seemed the more we talked on Sunday a bit the more weird he felt to me. And I was also really just tired, and the thought of talking about myself and coming up with questions if needed seemed tiring. So we met at the pub and ended up walking across the street to another. He was nice, he really was. There was stuff to talk about, I mean its a first date its hard to not have something to talk about, but to be honest, he was just boring. And he wasn't funny, like I am trying to remember if I laughed at all the whole time (that's bad). Its one of those dates I can't explain, there was just no connection. It was a VERY short date. I didn't order a beer with dinner, because I drank the night before, and wasn't in the mood for it, so he asked after dinner if I normally drink, kinda asking if I wanted to get some drinks, and I told him I normally do. But 1. I was REALLY tired, and by that point a bit bored so I wasn't in the mood for continuing on when I knew this was not going to ever be something. So I politely said no, explaining I was just too worn out and wouldn't be fun. He then asked if I had fun, which seriously what was I suppose to say, no? So I of course said yea, did you? And he was like yea but it was way too short...which then I felt kinda bad. But then we walked back to the car, and said bye and I could tell he was gonna try to go in for a kiss, so I gave him a side hug instead. It was bad. I couldn't kiss him (and that's saying something...)
Five things I learned about him--
1. He just got a new job, explains the move.
2. He grew up not far from where my family in IL lives..
3.He went to the same college as my dad for the same degree.
4. He lived in Atlanta the last 5 years for grad school.
5. He is a fan of football, but doesn't let it take the lead on life.
Memorable Conversation--
When I told him about me being too tired to do anything else he said " I can help you stay awake" with the weird smile on his face...
The Verdict--
There will NOT be a second date. No there will not. Its funny because on all the first dates I have been on there's only a few that I have said I do not want a second date...I mean there's been some I wasn't so sure about, but went on a second just to see, but to know FOR SURE on the first, not so many.
